HOUNSLOW FROM RICHMOND PARK
The idea for this one came from my daily excersise walks during the depths of the first UK Lockdown. I would jog or walk up this hill near Peterham Gate and the vista in the crystal, unpolluted air during that hot April was breathtaking.
Later in the summer when restrictions eased I revisited the spot with my sketching easel and acrylics. The light wasn't quite the same but I pressed on, working to try and capture the irridescent shimmer of high summer heat.
